This Privacy Policy applies to the Memorys AfterLife website, iOS application, Android application, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Who We Are

Memorys AfterLife is a trade name operated by RCO Communications LLC (“RCO,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Memorys AfterLife refers to the digital archive service and related products and services operated by RCO Communications LLC.

RCO Communications LLC provides the Memorys AfterLife service, including its website, iOS application, Android application, and related digital archive services.

Memorys AfterLife provides private digital archive services that allow users to preserve photos, videos, documents, files, and other digital memories, organize their archive, and configure legacy and beneficiary-related preferences.

This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we may collect, how that information is used, how it may be shared with service providers, how it is protected and retained, and the choices available to you.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information

When you create or maintain a Memorys AfterLife account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account identifier
  • Authentication and account-status information
  • Membership or subscription status
  • Storage usage information
  • Account preferences and settings
  • Beneficiary information, when voluntarily provided
  • Family or shared-archive information, when applicable

Passwords and authentication credentials are handled using security measures designed to protect account access. We do not intentionally store passwords in readable plain-text form.

B. Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In

Memorys AfterLife may allow you to create or access an account using third-party authentication services, including Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In.

When you use one of these services, we may receive information authorized by you and provided by the authentication provider, such as:

  • Your name
  • Your email address or private relay email address
  • A unique authentication identifier
  • Information necessary to authenticate and connect your account

We do not receive your Apple ID password or Google Account password.

C. Photos, Videos, Documents, and Other Vault Content

Memorys AfterLife allows you to upload and store content in your private digital vault. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Documents
  • Other supported files
  • File names
  • File types
  • File sizes
  • Upload timestamps
  • Associated account or archive identifiers
  • Information needed to organize files into collections or archive features

Vault content is associated with your Memorys AfterLife account so that it can be securely stored and made available to you across supported devices and services.

We do not publicly expose your private vault content as part of a public social feed or public media library.

D. Photo and Video Library Access

On supported mobile devices, Memorys AfterLife may request permission to access photos and videos stored on your device.

This permission is used to provide features such as:

  • Selecting photos and videos for upload
  • Backing up eligible photos and videos to your Memorys AfterLife vault
  • Displaying eligible media for selection within the app
  • Supporting Auto Backup or Auto-Sync features when enabled by you

Memorys AfterLife does not require you to upload your entire photo or video library. The content processed depends on the permissions you grant, the media you select, and the backup features you choose to enable.

E. Auto Backup and Auto-Sync

If you enable an automatic backup or synchronization feature on a supported device, Memorys AfterLife may identify eligible photos or videos and upload eligible content to your private vault according to your settings, permissions, account status, and available storage.

The app may maintain synchronization information necessary to determine whether eligible content has already been processed or uploaded. This helps reduce unnecessary duplicate processing and supports backup-status information.

You may disable available Auto Backup or Auto-Sync functionality through the app settings or adjust applicable device permissions through your operating system settings.

F. Subscription and Purchase Information

Memorys AfterLife may offer subscriptions through multiple platforms. The payment processor used depends on where you make your purchase.

Website Purchases

Purchases made directly through the Memorys AfterLife website may be processed by Stripe, Inc.

Stripe may process information such as:

  • Billing name
  • Billing address
  • Payment method information
  • Transaction information

RCO Communications LLC and Memorys AfterLife do not store complete payment card numbers on our servers.

Apple App Store Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions initiated through the Memorys AfterLife iOS application are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Apple handles the payment transaction. We may receive information necessary to verify and manage your subscription entitlement, such as product identifiers, transaction or subscription information, entitlement status, renewal-related status, and other purchase-validation information made available by Apple.

RCO Communications LLC and Memorys AfterLife do not receive your complete payment card information from Apple.

Google Play Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions initiated through the Memorys AfterLife Android application may be processed by Google through Google Play.

Google handles the payment transaction. We may receive information necessary to verify and manage your subscription entitlement, such as product identifiers, purchase or subscription information, entitlement status, and purchase-validation information made available by Google.

RCO Communications LLC and Memorys AfterLife do not receive your complete payment card information from Google Play.

G. Device, Security, and Technical Information

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect or process limited technical and operational information, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser type
  • Operating system or device type
  • App version
  • Login and authentication timestamps
  • Upload and download activity
  • Synchronization status
  • Subscription entitlement status
  • Error, diagnostic, and reliability information
  • Security and fraud-prevention information

This information may be used to operate the Services, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, prevent abuse, validate subscriptions, and improve reliability.

H. Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, Memorys AfterLife may receive and maintain a device push-notification token or similar identifier needed to deliver notifications to your device.

Notifications may include account, archive, storage, security, subscription, backup, or other service-related information.

You can control notification permissions through your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

RCO Communications LLC may use information collected through Memorys AfterLife to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Authenticate your identity and protect account access
  • Provide private digital vault storage
  • Upload, organize, retrieve, and display your vault content
  • Provide Auto Backup and Auto-Sync functionality
  • Synchronize account information across supported devices
  • Process and validate subscriptions
  • Determine account and membership entitlements
  • Enforce applicable storage allowances
  • Provide billing, subscription, and account notifications
  • Provide storage and backup-status notifications
  • Provide beneficiary and legacy-related features
  • Provide family and shared-archive features when enabled
  • Respond to customer-support requests
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Diagnose technical problems
  • Maintain and improve service reliability and security
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

RCO Communications LLC does not sell your personal information or private Memorys AfterLife vault content.

We do not use your private vault content as a public social feed.

4. How We Share Information

We may share limited information with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, or provide the Memorys AfterLife Services.

A. Wasabi Technologies

Memorys AfterLife uses Wasabi Technologies cloud infrastructure for storage of user vault content and related storage services.

Vault files are intended to remain private and are accessed through controlled application and storage mechanisms.

B. Stripe

Stripe may process payments and billing information for eligible purchases made through the Memorys AfterLife website.

C. Apple

Apple may process authentication, App Store purchases, subscriptions, transaction information, and push-notification services associated with use of Memorys AfterLife on Apple devices.

D. Google

Google may process authentication, Google Play purchases, subscriptions, and related platform services associated with use of Memorys AfterLife on supported Android devices.

E. Email and Communication Providers

We use service providers to deliver operational and transactional communications, which may include:

  • Account confirmations
  • Password-reset communications
  • Security notifications
  • Subscription or billing information
  • Storage warnings
  • Beneficiary or legacy-related communications
  • Other service-related messages

F. Legal and Safety Requirements

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or valid governmental request
  • Protect the rights, property, security, or integrity of RCO Communications LLC, Memorys AfterLife, or our users
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity
  • Complete a verified beneficiary or legacy-release process authorized under our Services

We do not disclose private vault content to beneficiaries solely because someone claims to be a beneficiary. Applicable verification and release procedures must first be completed.

5. Cloud Storage and Vault Security

User vault files are stored using cloud storage infrastructure provided by Wasabi Technologies.

Our storage architecture may use safeguards including:

  • Encrypted HTTPS connections for data transmitted between supported systems
  • Private cloud-storage configurations
  • Controlled authentication and authorization
  • Time-limited or signed access mechanisms where applicable
  • Account-level access controls
  • Security and operational logging

We do not intentionally make private user vaults publicly accessible.

No electronic storage, transmission, or security system can guarantee absolute security. We therefore cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or other security incidents will never occur.

6. Beneficiary and Legacy Information

Memorys AfterLife may allow you to provide information about a beneficiary or other person associated with legacy-access features.

Depending on the features you use, this information may include:

  • Beneficiary name
  • Beneficiary email address or contact information
  • Relationship or other information supplied by you
  • Information associated with a legacy-access or release request

We use this information to provide beneficiary and legacy-related features, communicate when appropriate, and administer applicable verification and release procedures.

Verification may be required before vault content or account information is released. RCO Communications LLC may request documentation or additional information reasonably necessary to verify a request involving the Memorys AfterLife service.

7. Family and Shared Features

Memorys AfterLife may provide family, invitation, shared-collection, or similar collaborative features.

When you use these features, information necessary to provide the requested sharing or invitation functionality may be processed, such as an invited person’s email address, account identifier, invitation status, or access permissions.

Access to shared content is governed by the applicable feature settings, permissions, and account controls.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, satisfy legitimate operational and security requirements, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Account information may be retained:

  • While your account remains active
  • While necessary to provide your subscription or service
  • During an applicable account or subscription grace period
  • While reasonably necessary for security or fraud prevention
  • As required for legal, tax, accounting, billing, or compliance purposes

Uploaded vault files may remain stored:

  • While your account and applicable storage service remain active
  • During applicable grace or account-recovery periods
  • Until deleted by you where supported
  • Until removed as part of a verified permanent account deletion process

Deletion from active systems may not always result in instantaneous removal from every temporary, backup, security, or disaster-recovery system. Residual copies may remain for a limited period where technically necessary and will be handled according to our applicable retention and security practices.

9. Account Deletion

You may request permanent deletion of your Memorys AfterLife account.

Deletion Through the Mobile Apps

Where supported, the Memorys AfterLife iOS and Android applications provide an account-deletion option within the application.

For security, you may be required to authenticate or complete an additional confirmation step before permanent deletion is processed.

What Happens When an Account Is Permanently Deleted

Following completion of the applicable verification and deletion process:

  • Your Memorys AfterLife account access will be disabled or removed
  • Your private vault content will be scheduled for or permanently removed from active storage
  • Associated beneficiary information will be removed where applicable
  • Associated application data will be removed or de-identified where appropriate
  • Certain records may be retained when required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, billing, or compliance purposes

Important: Deleting Your Account and Canceling a Subscription

Deleting your Memorys AfterLife account does not necessarily cancel an active subscription billed by Apple or Google.

If your subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store, you should manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

If your subscription was purchased through Google Play, you should manage or cancel the subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.

Website subscriptions may be managed according to the account and billing options provided through the Memorys AfterLife website.

We recommend managing any active recurring subscription before permanently deleting your Memorys AfterLife account.

10. Subscription Billing and Refunds

Subscription billing, cancellation, and refund procedures may vary depending on the platform through which the subscription was purchased.

Apple App Store

App Store subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. Cancellation, billing, and refund requests for those purchases are subject to Apple’s applicable policies and account-management procedures.

Google Play

Google Play subscriptions are billed and managed through Google. Cancellation, billing, and refund requests for those purchases are subject to Google’s applicable policies and account-management procedures.

Website Purchases

Purchases made directly through the Memorys AfterLife website are subject to the terms, billing practices, and refund policies applicable to those purchases.

11. Cookies and Website Technologies

The Memorys AfterLife website may use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Maintain authenticated sessions
  • Remember preferences
  • Provide account functionality
  • Protect against fraud and abuse
  • Improve performance and reliability

Browser controls may allow you to block or delete cookies. Disabling required cookies may prevent portions of the website from functioning correctly.

12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights or choices concerning your personal information.

  • Change certain app permissions through your device
  • Disable available Auto Backup or Auto-Sync functionality
  • Control push-notification permissions

  • Request an available export or copy of certain personal information
  • Contact us with privacy-related questions or requests

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain privacy requests.

13. Children’s Privacy

Memorys AfterLife is not directed to children under 13, and RCO Communications LLC does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through Memorys AfterLife without appropriate authorization or consent where required by law.

If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances where it should not have been, we will take appropriate steps to address the information, including deletion where required.

14. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Your use of third-party services in connection with Memorys AfterLife may also be governed by the privacy policies and terms of those third parties. Examples include:

  • Authentication providers
  • Email and notification service providers

RCO Communications LLC does not control the independent privacy practices of these third-party platforms and service providers.

15. International Processing

RCO Communications LLC and service providers supporting Memorys AfterLife may process or store information in the United States or other locations where applicable service providers maintain infrastructure.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your location.

16. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information and private vault content.

Depending on the applicable system and feature, safeguards may include:

  • HTTPS-encrypted network communications
  • Authentication and session controls
  • Private cloud-storage architecture
  • Controlled file-access mechanisms
  • Signed or time-limited file access where applicable
  • Account and membership authorization checks
  • Security and operational logging
  • Device authentication features where supported and enabled

No internet-connected service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should also protect their account credentials and devices from unauthorized access.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

RCO Communications LLC may update this Privacy Policy as Memorys AfterLife evolves, as our technology or service providers change, or as necessary to address legal, regulatory, security, or operational requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date shown at the top of this policy. When appropriate, we may also provide additional notice through the website, application, email, or another reasonable method.
