Questions About Memory’s AfterLife?

Everything you need to know about protecting your memories, preserving your story, and planning who receives them in the future.

01

THE BASICS

Getting Started

What is Memory’s AfterLife?

Memory’s AfterLife is a secure digital memory preservation service designed to help you protect the photos, videos, stories, and other memories that make up your life. It combines a private Memory Vault with tools for organizing your story and a controlled Future Release process for the beneficiary you choose.

How is Memory’s AfterLife different from ordinary cloud storage?

Services such as ordinary photo backup and cloud drives are primarily designed to store and synchronize files. Memory’s AfterLife is designed around preservation and legacy. Your memories can be organized with the context that makes them meaningful, while the Future Release system gives you a structured way to plan who may receive them later.

Why use Memory’s AfterLife if I already use Google Photos or iCloud?

Google Photos and iCloud are useful for everyday syncing and access. Memory’s AfterLife serves a different purpose: preserving the memories and stories of your life and providing a controlled way for them to reach someone you trust in the future. It is intended to preserve not only files, but the meaning and context surrounding them.

What can I preserve?

You can preserve important digital memories such as photos and videos and use Memory’s AfterLife features to add organization and context to the story of your life.

02

YOUR STORY

Your Memories

What is the Memory Vault?

The Memory Vault is the private area of your account where your protected memories are stored and managed. It is built to keep your archive organized and accessible to you while your account remains active.

Can I organize more than just photos?

Yes. Memory’s AfterLife is being built around the larger story behind your memories, with features such as Stories, Collections, People & Relationships, Timeline organization, Legacy Messages, and other tools that help preserve context alongside the media itself.

Why does context matter?

A photograph can show what happened, but names, relationships, stories, dates, and personal messages can explain why it mattered. Memory’s AfterLife is designed to help preserve both the memory and the story around it.

Can I continue adding memories over time?

Yes. Your archive is intended to grow with you. You can continue protecting and organizing memories as your collection grows, subject to the storage included with your membership plan.

03

PROTECTION ON THE GO

Mobile & Auto-Sync

Is there a Memory’s AfterLife mobile app?

Yes. Memory’s AfterLife is available on Android, giving members mobile access to their Memory Vault and supported memory-protection features.

What is Auto-Sync?

Auto-Sync is designed to make protecting memories easier by helping identify and upload supported media from your device to your private Memory Vault when synchronization runs.

Does Auto-Sync delete the original files from my phone?

No. Uploading a memory to your vault does not mean the original needs to be removed from your device. Memory’s AfterLife is designed to preserve a protected copy rather than act as a phone-cleanup tool.

Can I upload memories manually?

Yes. Memory’s AfterLife supports adding memories to your vault without relying exclusively on automatic synchronization.

04

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Privacy & Security

Is my archive protected?

Yes. Your files are stored using secure cloud infrastructure and protected through controlled, authenticated access. Memory’s AfterLife is designed so your personal archive is not publicly accessible.

Can other people browse my Memory Vault?

No. Your Memory Vault is private and is not designed as a public social-media gallery. Access is tied to your account and the controlled Future Release process.

Can my beneficiary see my memories while I’m alive?

No. Naming someone as your beneficiary does not give that person access to your Memory Vault. Your memories remain private during your lifetime. Beneficiary access is only considered through the Future Release process after a claim is submitted and the required verification and waiting procedures are completed.

Is my vault publicly accessible through a link?

No. Memory’s AfterLife is designed around authenticated, controlled access rather than public file links to your private archive.

05

YOUR LEGACY PLAN

Beneficiary & Future Release

How does the beneficiary system work?

You designate a trusted person as your beneficiary. That designation creates a path for a future claim, but it does not provide immediate access to your vault. Release remains subject to Memory’s AfterLife’s controlled verification process.

Can I change my beneficiary?

Yes. While you control your account, your beneficiary information can be updated so your Future Release plan reflects your current wishes.

How does a beneficiary request access?

A beneficiary must begin a Future Release claim and provide the information required for verification. A beneficiary designation by itself is not enough to unlock an archive.

How is a Future Release verified?

Memory’s AfterLife uses a structured verification process before archive access can be released. The process is designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized or premature access and includes controlled claim handling rather than instant beneficiary access.

What prevents someone from falsely claiming I have passed away?

A claim does not automatically release your vault. Future Release is deliberately designed around verification and waiting procedures so that a submitted claim can be reviewed before access is granted.

Does my beneficiary get my account password?

No. The beneficiary process is designed around controlled release access rather than simply handing another person your existing account credentials.

06

MEMBERSHIP

Plans, Storage & Account

Can I upgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can upgrade as your archive grows and you need additional storage or membership capacity.

What happens if I cancel my membership?

Your archive can enter a grace period rather than disappearing immediately. During the applicable grace period, renewing your membership can restore normal account access. The exact handling of an account remains subject to the current membership terms.

What happens when I reach my storage limit?

Your membership plan determines the storage available to your vault. If your archive approaches its limit, you can review available plan options and upgrade as needed.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Memory’s AfterLife provides an account-deletion process. Because deletion can affect stored memories and future access, review the current deletion information carefully before permanently removing an account.

BUILT AROUND YOUR CHOICES

Your memories. Your privacy. Your decision.

Memory’s AfterLife is designed so that you remain in control of your memories today while giving you a way to plan for their future.
