Uploaded vault files remain stored:
- While your subscription is active
- During applicable grace periods
- Until deleted by you or permanently removed through an approved account deletion request
If your account is permanently deleted:
- Associated vault files are permanently removed from active storage
- Account access is disabled
- Beneficiary information connected to the deleted account is removed where applicable
- Billing records may be retained as required by law
6. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Memory’s Afterlife account at any time.

When you request account deletion, we may ask you to verify your identity before deleting the account. This helps protect your private vault content from unauthorized deletion requests.
After a verified deletion request is processed:

- Your uploaded vault files will be deleted from active storage
- Your beneficiary information will be removed where applicable
- Your subscription may need to be canceled separately through the payment provider if required
Some limited information may be retained if required for legal, tax, fraud prevention, security, billing, or compliance purposes.
7. Beneficiary & Estate Release Data
If you designate a beneficiary:

- We may contact beneficiaries during a verified release process
- Verification steps are required before any data release
We reserve the right to request documentation to verify claims before releasing any vault content.
